TWP Australia's Mining Growth Set to Expand
Friday, 15 August 2008 15:45International Group TWP Holdings recently opened their first international office in Perth, Western Australia. The rapidly expanding group's initial project is at the Leinster Nickel Operations' Perseverance Deeps Project, part of BHP Billiton's Nickel West.
The first phase which continues through to 2014 involves a definitive feasibility study to significantly extend the existing underground mine. This expansive project will require the development of an underground block cave, a new vertical shaft rock winding system, an underground ROM crushing and materials handling system, and associated surface and underground infrastructure.
The Kimberley Diamond Company also awarded TWP the Ellendale Mine Production project in the Kimberley region in Western Australia. The primary focus of the project is to reconfigure and optimise the processing facilities to meet higher processing demands.
The scope of the project includes the upgrade of the front ends of the facilities to match the mining equipment, plant evaluation, identification of quick win opportunities, flow sheet analysis, mass balance analysis, equipment assessments, process conceptual design, engineering conceptual design, and trade off studies and implementation of all approved solutions.
Both projects require ongoing recruitment to find qualified specialists such as Engineers, Site Managers and Electricians to take part.
TWP Australia is an engineering, procurement, construction and management (EPCM) company that first established headquarters in Johannesburg in 1982, later opening in Rustenburg, and further launched associate company Bokamoso Consulting, in Polokwane in Limpopo Province.
